If you are considering a breast lift in metro Detroit, the first step is scheduling a consultation with Dr. Andrew Lofman. He will show you images of his work so you can make an informed decision and answer any questions you may have.
Once your procedure is scheduled, you will need to properly prepare. This includes not smoking and getting off of certain medications if approved (discussed in depth during your consultation). You should also plan ahead for recovery from the treatment, as heavy lifting will need to be avoided for up to six weeks. Further, you may need to arrange for help with tending to children and pets and take some time off of work.
Prior to the outpatient procedure, you will be given anesthesia for sedation. Then, Dr. Lofman will remove the excess skin from the breasts and lift them up to the location where they should be and so that nipples point forward before closing the area. You may have drains inserted for up to two days.
Most patients experience soreness and swelling for several weeks. The beauty of a breast lift is results are near immediate and long-lasting.
